2007-10-29 Mystic Valley Hunt Club Donates Over $17,000 to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
The four day 9/6-9/9 Mystic Summer Festival Horse Show was held as a benefit for the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The not for profit hospital located in New London, CT provides the only NICU of its kind in the region. L&M's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), is ready to respond immediately in the case of newborn stress or premature birth and provides one-on-one intensive care around the clock for the most critical newborn babies.
The Hunt Club took on this worthy cause six years ago with an initial donation of $1,600. This year thanks to the support of the competitors and sponsors, they were able to donate over $17,000! "We're so excited by this, we wanted to share it with the CHJA Membership and thank them for all of their support."
