Hunter Classic Qualification

Entry into the Hunter Classics is by invitation only. Do not enter the Hunter Classics unless you have qualified and been invited. These are not open classes. You must qualify in either the Children's Hunter (Horses and Ponies combined) Division or the Adult Amateur Hunter Division (Over and Under 35 combined).
Children's Hunter Pony Classic
The top 30 ponies
in Children's Hunter Pony Division will be invited to participate in
the CHJA Children's Hunter Pony Classic providing they have a minimum of 40 points accrued as of the end of the qualifying period. Points for the Children's Hunter Pony Classic will accrue as of December 1 of the previous year to
July 31 of the current year. In order to
accumulate points, ponies and their owners must be current members of
the CHJA in good standing. The Equitation Committee may, at its
discretion, increase or decrease the minimum point requirements for any
given year.
Children's Hunter Horse Classic
The top 30 horses in Children's Hunter Horse Division will be invited to participate in the CHJA Children's Hunter Horse
Classic providing they have a minimum of 40 points accrued as of the
end of the qualifying period. Points for the Children's Hunter Horse
Classic will accrue as of December 1 of the previous year to July 31 of the current year.. In order to accumulate
points, horses and their owners must be current members of the
CHJA in good standing. The Equitation Committee may, at its discretion,
increase or decrease the minimum point requirements for any given year.
Adult Hunter Classic
The top 30 horses in the Adult Amateur Hunter Division (Over
and Under 35 combined) will be invited to participate in the CHJA Adult
Hunter Classic providing they have a minimum of 40 points accrued as of
the end of the qualifying
period. Points for the Adult Hunter Classic will accrue as of December1
of the previous year to July 31 of the current year. In order to accumulate points, horses and their owners must be
