Hunter Classic Invitations

HUNTER CLASSICS BY INVITATION ONLY

2011 Medal Finals
Do not enter the Hunter Classics unless you have qualified and been invited. These are not open classes. You must qualify in either the Children's Hunter Horse, Children's Hunter Pony or the Adult Amateur Hunter Division (Over and Under 35 combined).

If you have already received an invitation and an entry form for a CHJA Medal Final, you will not receive a second entry form if your horse or pony qualifies for one of the Hunter Classics. You must enter a Classic on the same entry form. Some invitations to the Hunter Classics will be sent to those in the top positions before the Final Standings are published. Results are being faxed in by the show secretaries and are posted immediately. The Hunter Classic Final standings will be made available as quickly as possible and in plenty of time to meet the August 3 deadline.

The CHJA Hunter Classic classes will be judged on an open numerical system by two registered USEF judges. All horses and ponies will jump a hunter type course consisting of at least 10 jumps. The top 10 riders, if available or one third of the entries will return to compete over a second round. Scores from the first round will be added together with the scores of the second round to determine the placings. If a tie exists for first place only, after the second round, a third round will be held to determine the winner. All other ties will remain tied. No rider may show more than two horses in any one Classic.
