I was born and raised in the Brattleboro, Vermont area. I grew up on a small farm and got my first pony the summer before I entered sixth grade. I enjoyed hunt seat riding, showing, and doing some three day eventing in the beautiful Vermont countryside. I also loved driving my horses in an antique four wheeled doctor's buggy on the man
y back roads.
I have a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH and was a member of the Colby-Sawyer IHSA team. I was an operating room nurse for many years specializing in orthopaedics and neurosurgery. I have lived in Texas, Alabama, and Pennsylvania. My family and I moved to Avon, Connecticut 10 years ago.
I am married to Joshua, and have two children Jackson and Rachel. I am a substitute school nurse for the Avon School District. My hobbies include gardening, reading mystery novels, antiquing, downhill skiing, and being a baseball and horse show mom.
I enjoy being involved with the CHJA and am a member of the Equitation committee where I serve as the Hospitality Co-Chairman. I was recently honored by my election to the CHJA Board of Directors and am looking forward to serving the members of the CHJA!
