Rivers Edge Farm is located in Bethany, Connecticut. The name came from its placement next to the Pomperaug River in Southbury where the Farm was originally located. We purchased the farm in 1999. It consists of twenty-six open acres, an indoor ring, two sand rings and plans for a natural obstacle course. My husband Ray (almost 20 years) and our sons Ryan (a freshman at Stonehill College) and Michael (a ninth grader at Amity Junior High) consider us blessed to live in such a beautiful place! We have fourteen great boarders in addition to being the home base for the Teikyo Post University Equine Studies program. The Yale University Equestrian Team also trains out of Rivers Edge. The farm hosts nine shows a year, four schooling and five recognized. If that is not enough to keep us busy... our lesson program serves approximately one hundred students a week!
I was born in New Orleans, but grew up riding in California and Georgia. It is hard to believe that I have been riding and showing for thirty-six years now! I graduated with a Bachelors' Degree from Georgia State University. I enjoy reading and my secret obsession is Barnes and Noble! I don't have a favorite food... it's easier to say that the only thing I will not eat is a hot dog!
As a member of the Connecticut Hunter and Jumper Association Board of Directors I serve as Third Vice President. I am alos a member of the Equitation, Nominating and Awards Committees.
