Kelsey Amedeo and Tara Lynch

Kelsey Amedeo

Kelsey Amedeo is being honored with the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of the many hours she has generously volunteered to the CHJA. Initially a member of the Junior Equitation Committee, Kelsey has served on the Equitation Committee since 2003 where she assists with the Medal Finals pre show preparation, awards, program and event set up. She is a member of the Banquet Awards Committee, helps with the Scholarship Raffle and assists in the CHJA office with the point accounting and member renewals. With her easy smile, organizational skills and “can do” attitude she is never too busy to volunteer her time.

A 2005 graduate of Stonehill College, Kelsey is employed as the Controller at Industronics in Windsor, CT. She has been riding and competing for 17 years and under the direction of Martha and Armand Chenelle has won both state and national championships. In 1999 Kelsey was awarded the CHJA Sportsmanship Award and received a CHJA Scholarship in 2000. Thank you Kelsey for your effort, devotion and commitment to the CHJA

Tara Lynch

Tara Lynch has volunteered her time to the CHJA for several years and we are delighted to honor her with the Distinguished Service Award. Initially a member of the Junior Equitation Committee, she joined the Equitation Committee in 2003. At Medal Finals, she helps in the hospitality tent, and is responsible for the selection and purchase of the gifts for the Juniors in their last year. She also works at the in gate! As CHJA Historian, Tara’s creativity is responsible for the beautiful Banquet and Medal Finals scrapbooks which are on display at both events. Since 2004 Tara has Co Chaired the Annual Awards Banquet, an overwhelming responsibility that she handles with ease and graciousness. Tara has also assisted in the CHJA office whenever needed.

Tara graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2008 and is a teacher in the Suffield school system. Riding and showing for 20 years, Tara trains with Martha and Armand Chenelle. Among her many blue ribbons, Tara was Reserve Champion at IHSA Nationals in 2010. Thank you Tara for your exceptional efforts on behalf of the CHJA.
