2010 Medal Finals Rules and Regulations

The first batch of Medal Finals invitations will be mailed on Thursday, July 1st to members who have qualified at all shows that we have received results for as of 7/1.

Invitations will be mailed to new qualifiers on a daily basis as show results are received. You can check the status of what has been received and mailed by clicking on Approved Shows. If the invitations have been sent for a recently posted show, it will indicate "Invitations Sent" and the date.

If you have already received an invitation and entry form for a CHJA Medal Final, you will not receive a second entry form if your horse or pony qualifies for one of the Hunter Classics. You must enter a Classic on the same entry form. Some invitations to the Hunter Classics have already been sent to those in the top positions. Results are being faxed in by the show secretaries and are posted immediately. The Hunter Classic Final standings will be made available as quickly as possible and in plenty of time to meet the August 2 deadline.

Completed entry forms and payment must be mailed and received or postmarked by August 2nd, 2010. Entry forms must be completely filled out before they are mailed including all signatures and membership numbers. Numbers will not be issued if the application is incomplete. There are no post entries. Entries postmarked after August 2 will be returned. Do not send CHJA Medal Finals entries to the Fairfield Horse Show!

As entry forms are received, confirmation of receipt will be posted on the CHJA website at www.chja.net. Click on the class you entered to the right and you can confirm that your entry form has been received.

Important! Eligibility requirements will be verified as each entry is received.

Only active CHJA members with a current 2010 membership are eligible to participate. Click on Member Roster to the left to check your membership status.

A Junior Medal Qualifier must enter the CHJA Master's Medal Final if they have ever qualified for or participated in an Equitation final with a fence height of 3'6" (or higher) prior to the end of the qualifying period (August 1, 2010) such as Pessoa/USEF National Hunt Seat Medal, Platinum Performance/USEF Talent Search, ASPCA Maclay, FWPHA Junior Medal, FWPHA/National PHA Medal, Marshall & Sterling Central Equine Junior Medal.

If a Children's Medal qualifier has ever qualified for or competed in an Equitation Final including the CHJA Junior Medal or recognized class with fences 3' (or higher), they are not eligible to compete in the Children's Medal Final.
